Terms and Conditions

Last updated: March 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the MedNext Formulary mobile application, the MedNext Academy learning platform (mednext.academy), the MedNext Portfolio specialty training application builder, and the website at mednext.uk (collectively, the “Service”), operated by MedNext Ltd (“MedNext”, “we”, “us”).

By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

1.4 The Service is intended as a supplementary clinical reference and educational tool, NOT as a primary source for prescribing decisions. Users must always exercise independent clinical judgement.

2. Eligibility

2.1 The Service is intended for use by qualified or trainee healthcare professionals aged 18 and over.

2.2 By using the Service, you represent that you are a healthcare professional or student of a healthcare discipline.

2.3 The Service is not intended for use by patients for self-diagnosis or self-medication.

3. Account and Security

3.1 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Each account is for individual use only. Account sharing is prohibited.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 All content in the Service (including drug monographs, interaction data, AI-generated content, and the application itself) is the intellectual property of MedNext Ltd or its licensors.

6.2 Drug information is compiled from publicly available regulatory sources, including UK medicines regulatory data (MHRA-approved Summaries of Product Characteristics), and curated into the MedNext Proprietary Clinical Dataset — an audited database maintained and reviewed by the MedNext clinical team.

6.3 You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service content without written permission from MedNext Ltd.

7. AI-Generated Content

7.1 The Service includes AI-powered features (search, clinical queries, patient advice generation).

7.2 AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and must be verified by the user before any clinical application.

7.3 MedNext does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI-generated responses.

7.4 You are solely responsible for any clinical decisions made using AI-generated content.

7B. MedNext Academy and Portfolio

7B.1 Academy Content: educational materials provided through MedNext Academy (including advanced notes, MCQs, flashcards, and study guides) are intended to supplement — not replace — formal medical education, textbooks, and clinical training.

7B.2 Exam Preparation: while our materials are aligned to recognised exam syllabi (NEET PG, PLAB, USMLE, NMC competencies), we do not guarantee exam success. Performance depends on individual preparation, prior knowledge, and examination conditions.

7B.3 Portfolio Data Ownership: all portfolio data, self-assessment scores, evidence entries, and application materials you create using MedNext Portfolio remain your intellectual property. You may export your data at any time.

7B.4 Portfolio Scoring Accuracy: portfolio scores and person specification analyses are based on publicly available HEE/UKFPO/Royal College criteria. MedNext provides self-assessment guidance only — scoring in actual recruitment is determined solely by the relevant deanery or training body. We accept no liability for discrepancies between MedNext scores and official recruitment outcomes.

7B.5 No Recruitment Relationship: MedNext has no affiliation with Health Education England, NHS England, UK Foundation Programme Office, or any Royal College. Our portfolio tools are independent resources.

8.4 IN AN EMERGENCY, ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR INSTITUTION'S PROTOCOLS AND CONTACT APPROPRIATE EMERGENCY SERVICES.
